Müzede Prehistorik, Arkaik, Helenistik, Roma ve Bizans dönemlerine ait seramikler, toprak heykelcikler, mühürler, cam eserler, altın, gümüş ve bronzdan sikkeler kronolojik sırayla sergileniyor. Ayrıca duvarda yer alan bilgi panolarında ilk dönemlerinden Bizans dönemi sonuna kadar İzmir'in ticari tarihi, bağlı bulunduğu kara ve deniz ticaret yolları ile antik dönem üretimleri yazı, fotoğraf, harita ve çizimlerle anlatılmaktadır. Müzede, Osmanlı dönemi ticaret hayatına ait kantarlardan hesap makinelerine, son dönem İzmir ticaretine ait fotoğraflara da yer veriliyor. 1923 yılında yapılan İzmir İktisat Kongresi'ne ait fotoğraflar özel bir bölümde sergileniyor. www.iztomuze.org / www.iztomuseum.org İZMİR TARİH VE SANAT MÜZESİ Kültürpark - İzmir Tel. (232) 445 78 76 The İzmir Chamber of Commerce has founded the İzmir Chamber of Commerce Museum with the awareness that trade and culture are mutually complementary factors. The museum displays ceramics, earthen figurines, seals, glassware objects, gold, silver and bronze coins from the Prehistoric, Archaic, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantium periods in a chronological order. The information boards on the walls provides written details about the trade history of İzmir from the first periods to the end of the Byzantium period, the trade routes by land and sea, as well as the production activities carried out in the ancient period together with photographs, maps and drawings. The museum also includes equipments used in trade life in the Ottoman period such as weighers, scales and calculating machines, besides the photographs representing the recent period İzmir commerce. There is also a pictorial display of the İzmir Economy Congress held in 1923. İZMİR HISTORY AND ART MUSEUM Kültürpark - İzmir Tel. (232) 445 78 76 İzmir Tarih ve Sanat Müzesi'nde, yeni bir anlayış ve sergileme tekniğinin son örneklerinin kullanıldığı modern bir müze şeklinde düzenlenmiştir. Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından yaptırılan Tarih ve Sanat Müzesi, Kültürpark'ta 13 bin 320 metrekare alan içinde yer almaktadır. Müze üç ayrı binadan oluşmaktadır. Girişte sağda Taş Eserler, ortadaki binada Seramik Eserler, soldaki binada ise Kıymetli Eserler sergilenmektedir. Taş Eserler bölümünde, İzmir ve yakın çevresindeki örenyerlerinden heykeller, kabartmalar sergileniyor. Agora'da gün ışığına çıkartılan Demeter, Poseidon, Artemis Heykel grubu görülmeye değer. Seramik eserler bölümünde, başta Smyrna Tepekule Höyüğü olmak üzere, İzmir çevresindeki Prehistorik Höyüklerden elde edilen parçalar sergilenmektedir. Kıymetli Eserler bölümünde Arkaik, Helenistik, Roma ve Bizans dönemlerine ait altın, gümüş ve değerli taşlardan yapılmış takı ve süs eşyalar, cam eşyalar ile sikkeler sergilenmektedir. İzmir History and Art Museum is organized as a modern museum where the latest examples of display technique are used with a new understanding. The museum was built by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, and covers an area of 13,320 square meters inside the Culture Park. The Museum consists of three separate buildings. The Stone Artefacts are displayed in the first building, Ceramic Works are displayed in the building in the middle, and the Treasures are displayed in the building on the left. The Stone Artefacts include the sculptures and reliefs uncovered in İzmir and the surrounding ruin sites. The sculptures of Demeter (Ceres), Poseidon and Artemis unearthed in Agora are worth seeing. Pieces uncovered in the Prehistoric Tumulus around İzmir, especially the Smyrna Tepekule Tumulus, are displayed in the section reserved for the Ceramic Works. The Treasures section includes jewelleries and ornaments made of gold, silver and precious stones in the Archaic, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantium periods, as well as glassware objects and coins. 58 İZMİR Eylül - Ekim / September - October 2009
